Did you know?
“Happier people live longer, are more likely to marry… tend to have more close and casual friends, and actually earn more money”*
If you are happier, you are much more likely to achieve your goals and deal more positively with any set backs. Think about it, how did you feel on those days when you were the most productive? Were you sad and negative or where you actually happy and upbeat? Hundreds of studies have shown the happier people can achieve their goals faster and live more fulfilling lives… Imagine what an awesome life you would have if you could stay in a happier place more of the time… Imagine all that you could accomplish and just how much more fulfilled you would be.
Let me give you an example.
Some days your alarm goes off at 6am, and you wish you didn’t have to leave your bed. You finally get the courage to get up, stumble clumsily to the kitchen, grab your first coffee, or tea, and dread the rest of the day! You feel stressed and confused, you hold on to the thought of the next weekend, or your next vacation to keep you going. That’s no way to live!
I totally get it. That was me for a long time, but after reading 100s of books on happiness and positive psychology, deepening my spiritual practice, and getting certified as a life coach, I finally understood that life doesn’t have to suck, at least not most of the time. That insight changed my life.
Happiness is not just fluff, it matters!
Did you know that “happy people make more money, take fewer days from work, get along with their colleagues better, spend more time volunteering, are more likely to help strangers, and receive better supervisor evaluations on the job”?**
I’m a huge fan of scientific evidence and that’s why I use insights and tools derived from positive psychology – the science of happiness!
